First - congrats to the U.S. Women's team. Winning the gold medal game by 29 points is really great.
Now - for my old memory. There's a player on the Women's team named "Foules". When I first heard that, I remembered a game I worked about 20 years ago. It was an 8th grade boys game in our local rec league. I knew most of the coaches and I was calling a game in which one of the coach's last name was "Fowler". He was coaching his son in this game, and the kid picked up two fouls in the first minute. His dad subbed for him and as the kid was walking to the bench, his dad said in a loud voice, "Your last name is Fowler but your first name isn't "THE"!"
Pretty much everyone in the gym cracked up. BTW - the game took place in Fowler Middle School. I don't think there was any relation.
