So…I had the chance to be a clinician at a camp this weekend. One of the coaches was from Chicago. Late in the game he loses his mind because he felt an opponent “traveled” during a spot throw-in (she took a baby step or two but stayed over the designated spot). After the game I explain the rule and he says:
*The H.S. officials in Chicago always tell him the thrower can’t move.
*I was the first person to explain the designated spot aspect of a throw-in to him.
I told him one of the officials on my message board:
*Works in Chicago
*Happens to be a good official who works H.S. and college.
*Definitely knows the rule so there’s at least
ONE official in Chicago who does
