Years ago when I umpire AAU Boys' National Baseball Tournaments in Brevard County, Florida, there would be a five gallon drum filled with ice and water with a teaspoon or table spoon of smelling salts mixed into it with a hand towel in the water. If one felt faint from the heat just slapping that water soaked towel on one's face really woke one up,  .
