It then advises that the foul "if accepted . . . is administered from the previous spot. A might turn down the field goal and replay the down after the penalty enforcement." Thus, A's option is to decline to keep the 3 points or accept, take points off board, and replay down.
But doesn't A have the option of "accepting the result of the play and enforcement of the penalty from the succeeding spot" under new rules 8-4-3b and 10-5-1e?
Is Casebook wrong or am I missing something?
