As a younger referee, I have learned that in order to make it to the pros, in any sport, you need to be at the top of your game, sometimes even more so than the pros themselves. The competition is so fierce just to get to that level, along with all of the years of work to get to have the opportunity, that it would be ludicrous for an official to risk all of that by throwing a call. They know that if they did, the league official supervisors would throw them out the door. It is the dream of all of the NFL officials to make it to that level, so to even question their love of the game by saying that they may be bias is ridiculous.
