but a more non-interested 3rd party could be a better point of view.
My point of view: no matter the country, the sport, the culture, gamblin' exists. I don't want to espout my views, but there are many things in our culture that is such an oxymoron thing and gamblin' is one of them.
Officiating professional sports seems like a closed society and not open to the general public and that is one the reasons there is so much angst between the public and referees.
I don't want to go on and on. The info I'm seeking is not a state secret or for the defense of a country.
I just wondered about tendencies and if I could find a relationship with some good ole database analysis.
oh well, thought I'd ask ...
First, why is "gamblin'" and oxymoron? And who ever said that gambling doesn't exist here, there, or anywhere?

In addition, you mean to tell me that officiating professional sports isn't open to just anyone?? Jeez, I could have sworn they just picked seven guys off the street. Seriously, don't you think that there is a good reason why officiating pro sports is a closed society?

Now as for this website, I've never been a conspiracy theorist anyway, but if the guys in Las Vegas do their job right, then the favored teams should cover just about as often as they don't cover. If that's true, then just by dumb luck some crews are going to work mostly games where a favorite covers and some crews are going to work mostly games where the favorite fails to cover. Also, this conspiracy theory would work better if there was only one official out there, as that one guy could then really influence the game with his "style." Even if certain officials did favor the favorites or the underdogs (and, no I don't think anyone out there does have a bias!), it is highly unlikely that you would end up with a crew of 7 guys who all have the same bias.

And now that I've written all of this, I am wondering why I even choose to dignify this subterfuge.
