Passing: look at feet. Handing: look at ball.
Here's how I remember it:
For passing, if the passer's foot (feet) is (are) beyond the neutral zone at the time of the pass its an illegal forward pass...
For kicking, if the ball or any part of the ball is beyond the neutral zone at the time of kick its an illegal kick.
For handing, if the ball or any part of the ball is beyond the neutral zone at the time of the handing its an illegal forward handing foul.
