You have got to be kidding.

This is a copy of the email I sent to Jim Hook, Staff writer
of the Daily Southtown - http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southt...dex/31-ds4.htm
----------------------------------------------------------

“His life, or at least the next year of it, was over”

You have got to be kidding.

I commend Trench for having helped start the league.

But when he goes on the field, he is in violation of the rules.
When he touches an official, he is in violation of the rules.
When he “belly-bumps” an official, he is in violation of the law.

If he followed the rules, he wouldn’t be in this situation, would he? Odd that a man who has dedicated 28 years of his life to the league wouldn’t know the rules, isn’t it? Or don’t the rules apply equally to him?

One might say, “It was only a belly-bump!” What it was, was an attempt by an adult authority figure to intimidate a teenager in a game for young teenagers.
"I never touched him," he said. "But I should have beat him from one goal post to the next." What a wonderful role model he is.
Any attempt to win sympathy for a man that is a dysfunctional role model with a blatent disregard for not only the rules of the game that he professes to cherish, but also for the laws of society should be held in the same contempt as the actions of Coach Trent that day.
Regards,
Bruce Levak
