This would have all of the advantages/disadvantages of ANY Free Kick.
It's important to remember, the option to snap or free kick continues, if a snap is initially chosen, a play is run during which a foul is accepted which includes a replay of the down. ie; Fair Catch at mid-field, R elects to snap, gains 10 yards, B commits 15 yd Face mask, replay from the subsequent spot (25 yard line).
R maintains the option to snap, or Free Kick, from the 25 yd line, with all the requirements of a Free Kick.
