I am not going to provide URLs for articles for the two incidents that happened in the world of sports this past weekend because I am sure we can all find them easily enough.

First, we had the Albanian Special Olympian who became lost and was found some 350 miles from the site of the World Summer Games of Special Olympics.

Second, we had the nine year old bat boy, from Liberal, Kansas, who was accidently struck in the head by an on-deck batter and died of his injuries.

My wonderful wife and I raised two fine young men and we cannot begin to feel the emotions of the parents of these two young athletes.

Tonight, Mark, Jr., and I will umpire a S.O. softball game and I know that these two athletes will be in our thoughts.
