Isn't there an interp that describes an Ally-oop from behind the 3-pt arc that enters the basket will be awarded 3 points? If it is a pass, then how could it be awarded 3 points?
Good point. If it is a pass, it is a pass. But, the rules/interpretations indicate that we are to aware 3 points. Yet, it doesn't go so far as to declare it a try just because it goes in. So, if a foul were to occur in such a case, it should be treated the same as if a foul occurs as in the video above....dead ball at the time of the foul.
