IMO, the problem with the replay is that it wasn't meant for these types of plays. But once they got it in the door, it has mushroomed to the point that at some point, the umpire is just going to start pointing to the headsets every time a manager steps onto the field. The task will become frivolous and the "what ifs" will rule the pace.
