I was speaking to a fellow official on the phone today, and he reminded me of a game he did with Dave about 3 years ago. It seems there was a scorekeeper that kept criticizing both officials. Finally, after Dave made a ruling on an AP throw-in violation, the scorer told him he was wrong (of course, he wasn't). Dave told him that was the rule. The scorer said he knew the correct rule because he "used to be a ref".
Dave replied "that must have been before the lobotomy."
