This may be the worst big city high school sports program in the nation. (I have heard that Detroit might be as bad.) I have umpired some of these schools and even wrote about it for officiating.com. The article understates how bad these programs really are.
In my article for officiating.com, I opined that a quality 13 year old prep team could beat one of these high school varsity teams. It is that bad.
