Many years ago, the jr. high coach at the school a mile from my house made the following remark after a close loss: "
Nobody will
ever call you homer!"
Ten years later, the coach of a jr. high ten miles away declared that it just wasn't fair when I called games at the local school. I wasn't a bad guy, I just simply was not able to be objective so I shouldn't be there. Here's the good part. Coaches change jobs a lot and move from one school to another. It was the same guy who made both statements.
