BYU player realizes that he can't block the ball on the drive with a RA block/charge play and hits the Utah player in the face to not allow him to get the shot off. The Utah player is bleeding on the cheek. The spread at this point of the game is 18 pts in an In-State rivalry game. You don't want Utah to come up with a retaliatory foul.

It's a very good F2 foul especially from a game management standpoint during this stage of the game.
