As Dakota said: "If she is stopped off the base when the pitcher receives the ball, that is her stop. She must decide immediately which base to go to." and move to it.

About "Would you give her another stop? ", the rule is about returning immediately, so once moving in either direction, no stops are allowed (assuming the usual about the pitcher).

About "If she were walking back as the pitcher catches the ball, she would get a stop ": not if the runner was moving once the pitcher received the ball. She would have to stop before "pitcher possession".

About "How do you guys call your runners.", with benefit of the doubt to the runner, not the technicality. If the runner violates the intent, that's an out. If the runner stumbles, slows down when getting close to the base, ties a shoelace while an inch off the base, no call.
