There's no requirement in FED for a one-second pause after the RFP. There is a requirement for a one-second set after a shift.
So, if A is at the line and all players have been set for at least one second, they can snap immediately after the RFP has sounded. This might happen in a hurry-up situation after a first down, for instance.
