9.1.3 e

A1 starts FT motion B1 fouls A2 along lane line. Ruling: Even if foul occurs before ball is in flight, the throw counts if successful. No substitute throw if missed. In either case, whether the throw is made or missed, the ball is awarded to A for spot throwin nearest the foul. If, in the opinion of the official, A1 was disconcerted, a substitute throw should be granted if unsuccessful.

There is so much going on here, where to begin?

I assume that you sound the whistle immediately upon the foul and in this case and my opinion, that will be disconcertion enough to grant a substitute FT. Fouling action along with a whistle all in front of the shooter is a lot to block out. Would anyone not grant a FT.

Next, say the foul happens during the first of two FTs. and not in the bonus. Administration would be as follows: False multiple foul. A1 would shoot substitute FT if missed the first. Count it if made. Lane would then be cleared for the second shot, then A gets the ball OOB at spot nearest the foul? Is that correct.

If you were in the bonus, then clear the lanes for A1's substitute and second FT and then A2 would shoot with players along the lane, ball remains live on miss?

That is all, carry on.
