Allowing a player to play up.
"UP here" it is common to allow players who are capable to be brought up for a number of regular season games as long as it doesn't interfere with that player's committment to his team at his age appropriate level. This might have been the proper resolution in a situation where advanced play may well have benefitted a talented player, without contravening the age/roster rules.
