Refining mechanics
Fly ball over foul ground, headed for area between U1, in A, and fence.
It will not be past U1, but past 1st base.
Is the proper mechanic to
1 -take the call as a fly ball chase (as in down the line),
2 - move to fence for possible assist to PU,
3 - stay in place
4 - ???
I know #2 has been discouraged by NCAA, but please ignore that for now.
I apologized below for this mistake.
Please give responses specifying sanction and if different for 3 ump.
