When I was that age, we didn't have "middle" schools. Elementary went up through 6th grade, Jr. High was 7th and 8th - then HS.
When I started 7th grade at a pretty "rough" Jr. High, I was 10 years old. I would see guys making out with their girlfriends in the halls and think "what's that"?
