My thought was that coaches must stay between the attack line and the end line but I can't find any rule that addresses this.  The rule book says that the head coach may stand during play as long as s/he is between the attack line and end line and is at least six feet from the sideline.

 Generally if the rules don't forbid it, they allow it. There is nothing that restricts a coach from where on the bench he/she can sit.
