From what I can tell of the story, the "ump said, "NO, I'll talk to her"" is the only provable criticism. For the epost-game comment, better try to find a neutral observer to get an interpretation. If the other ump and you are friendly, talk to him, let him know some people overheard and ask him what it was about.
