Back in the day I worked high school baseball in south Texas. Our association served about 60 high school and each school was allowed to scratch only two officials so being scratched never hurt as far as getting enough games.
Coach who was upset about some call (don't even remember what as it was 30 years ago) says to me one night "Well, this is the last game YOU will ever work in Raymondville!" Me: "That's fine coach but I'll be finishing this game and YOU wont!"
