I've not heard that. It could be a regional thing or a personal preference among assignors. But as far as I know, there is no NCAA-wide movement against them. Don't just take my word for it, tho!! Ask somebody important (that means, not ME!

Up here in the northeast, we just got an email asking for our opinion on going to the gray shirt. I'll let you know if we make the switch, if anybody cares.
