Wow. It would be hard to convince me that the batter allowed the ball to hit her hand while it was still on the bat. Most often, batters stick out an elbow or knee to let the pitch hit them. But the hands on the bat? That would hurt, even with a change up!

HTBT, but I would consider that an attempt to hit the ball, because as she moves her hands toward the ball, she's also moving the bat toward it. I would rule a dead ball strike on this one.
