In NCAA-M, when a FF1 or FF2 occurs and the fouled player is injured, then the players own coach can select any player to shoot the penalty FT's.

In this play, 1 of 2 things happened:
1) WSU #32 was injured as a result of getting kicked in the chest and face; so the WSU coach selected #11 to shoot the FT's. (btw - he didn't look injured to me as he ran down court and defended the next possession.)
2) The officials put an incorrect shooter - #11 - at the line for 2 FT's.

That crew of David Hall (several Final Fours), Gerry Pollard (several Regional Finals and Semi's), and Paul Janssen (NCAA tourney official as well) would NOT make a mistake of putting the wrong shooter at the line (I suppose it could happen....just don't believe it did).

Although I'm guessing, I would say the WSU coach said that #32 (Tekele Cotton - 58.6% FT) was injured and could not shoot, so he selected #11 (Cleanthony Early - 80.5% FT) to shoot. Who says that "coaches don't know the rules?".....

btw....it wasn't the officials that cost ISU the game; after the FF1 - I'd say the made 3 by WSU, then the ISU turnover, then the made 3 by WSU w/ :06 left in the game is what won it for WSU.
