I see where you are going with this. Why do some officials not want to say the colors that have more than one syllable? Is it just due to the ease of saying the word or is there some other reason? One game we had orange vs Black. Partner absolutely refused to say orange, and kept calling them Red, no matter how much grief I gave him.
2 games later - same team, this time the opponent was red. I just looked at him and said, "OK, now what?"
