False double foul type-things
Situation: - In the 2nd period, substitute B45 enters the game.
- Team A is in the bonus (8 fouls against Team B).
- Dribbler A20 is fouled by B45.
- A20 reacts to the foul by taking a swing at B45.
- Scorer notifies reporting official that B45 is not in the book.
- B head coach explains that B45 was formerly B31, but switched jerseys between periods because of blood on jersey.
My HS ruling: - INSTRUCT SCORER TO CHANGE B31’S # TO B45 IN THE BOOK WITHOUT PENALTY (that’s an exception to the changing a number in the book after the 10-min. pregame mark rule – blood on uniform – so no administrative team technical foul for that)
- ENSURE SCORER HAS THAT COMMON FOUL ON B45 IN THE BOOK (make sure scorer adds it to the team B foul total)
- REPORT FLAGRANT TECHNICAL FOUL FOR FIGHTING ON A20 (AND A20 IS DISQUALIFIED) (make sure scorer adds it to the team A foul total)
- REPORT FLAGRANT TECHNICAL ON B45 FOR CHANGING NUMBER WITHOUT NOTIFYING AN OFFICIAL AND THE SCORER (AND B45 IS DISQUALIFIED) (make sure scorer adds it to team B foul total)
- Then go in the order that the fouls occurred:
- ANY ELIGIBLE TEAM A SUBSTITUTE SHOOTS A20’S 1-AND-1 (it was still the 9th foul – not the 10th, even though there are now 10 team fouls on the board) WITH LANE CLEARED (SINCE A20 HAS BEEN DISQUALIFIED)
- ANY ELIGIBLE TEAM B MEMBER SHOOTS THE 2 FT’S FOR A20’S FLAGRANT TECHNICAL FOUL
- ANY ELIGIBLE TEAM A MEMBER SHOOTS THE 2 FT’S FOR B45’S FLAGRANT TECHNICAL FOUL
- THROW-IN FOR TEAM A AT DIVISION LINE OPPOSITE THE TABLE
Grade me and discuss.

Reason: had some of my A's and B's mixed up the first time around
