Some advise to move up and back, but I've found that I like to go lower and move up a little when this happens.

Batters that stand close to the plate aren't blocking the plate.......That's the catcher's unfunctional mechanics. When I have a catcher
blocking the slot I just move up and back a little. It's not the batter's fault you can't see the low and outside corner, and call the pitch a ball.
On the rare occasion, I've had a lefty up close on the plate, and catcher setting up
inside, I will switch to the scissors if neccesary. I can stick my head in a little closer.
Do what works best for you.
