Wasn't the Nats missing out on post season play since 1933. It was the city of Washington D.C. itself that hasn't been in post season play since the Seanators in 1933. Of course D.C. didn't have baseball from 1973-2004 but thats beside the point
. Anywau the Nats DID make the postseason in 1981 as the Expos and lost a tough 5 game series to the Dodgers in the NLCS(LCS was a best 0f 5 affair back then)
