Well this was a long weekend as I mentioned in another post.

ASA State.
Fri 5:30, 7:00, 8:30
Sat 11:00, 1:00, 5:00, 7:00
Sun 10:45, 12:15. 4:15IF

Not impressed so far?

All three games on Fri went ITB.
Final out was at 12:02a.
Estimated time on field, 6h 15m.

We are still in Game 1 and the other fields are a ghost town. Then start noticing teams start to limber up and then start the game. They were in inning 2 of Game 2 when our game ended, already 45 minutes behind schedule. Go get changed and then get back.

Our Game 2 had the pretty much the same result, putting us nearly 1h 25m behind schedule. Get changed get back.

Game three was 4-4 at the end of regulation. Vis sets out on a 7-run spree.

Temps around 100, heat index 109. Air was heavy, not a breeze.
When they dragged the other fields, the dust just hung in the air, yep, right on our infield.
After the Gators drove off you could smell the exhaust for 35 minutes. Felt like I was locked in a garage with a car running.
Everyone was sweating bullets right up until the final out.

Breathing was difficult because of the air. My diaphragm was sore and it was radiating into my back. Painful to run in Game 3 (BU). For the first time I understand why moving to Southwest is good for your health.

This is in spite of all my normal pre-game, during-game and post-game stuff like water, gatorade, ice towels in a cooler that I had just outside the fence of each game.

Didn't sleep to well Fri night.

Plate game went fine at 11:00, but by top of 2nd in Game 2, I was not feeling comfortable. Stomach was starting to cramp. Middle of 3rd UIC was checking on us as it was another 100 temp with 109 index.

Being honest, I told him how I was feeling and for the first time ever, I requested a sub and glad one was available. Never got dizzy, or seeing stars, but was close.

I was given the rest of the day off so as not to jeopardize the Sunday assignment.

Bought some Pedialyte and Pickles Sat nite and chilled out.

The two early games on Sunday went without a hitch, but have to admit being REALLY glad that there was no IF Game.

So, how much Pedialyte is one supposed to take?
