They stole my invention. I would take a shoestring, and tie a little loop in it. Then I hooked the loop of the shoestring on a front cleat. Next I tied the shoestring around my ankle. Voilą! Instant kicking shoe.
I could never wear the cleats with the heavy sole. I was glad when they introduced the new sole made of a hard plastic. Much more lightweight.
BTW-I bet it was Riddell that made the square toed kicking shoe.
