There is a bill in the Oregon Senate that would provide for a maximum sentence of $2000 fine or 6 months in prison, or both, for someone not leaving a sporting event when so directed by an official. The bill covers coaches, players and spectators. It makes their crime one of criminal trespass. Also, they cannot return to the event after leaving if the original order to leave specified how long they must be gone.
The bill is pretty vague in places and needs to have some of its definitions (specifically "Game Official" and "Location") tweaked, but it is reflective of a growing concern among governing bodies as to the behavior of people at sports events.
BTW - the city of Sherwood, Oregon, already has a similar law on the books.
