Brown (read - the UPS driver) just came to my door and dropped off a real surprise. It's an official NASO basketball referee bobblehead doll! I sent in the names of two potential members and that automatically entered me in a drawing for the doll. It's about 8" high, made from wood, is wearing a striped v-neck jersey with an old style lanyard and a Fox 40 Classic whistle. He has brown hair and blue eyes, and boy - does his head bobble. I like to think he's celebrating calling a T.
When the driver arrived, my son was here visiting. He answered the door and took the package. He brought it to me and said, "Dad - it looks like you've won a major award. And I think it's from Italy, since it's marked FRA-GI-LE."
That's another great movie reference for you movie buffs.
BTW - I'm thinking of naming the doll Dave. Any other suggestions?
