You assume that a perfectly good whistle is an old whistle to me. Again, I probably use a whistle longer than many here that only work basketball. I use whistle during football too and those whistles deteriorate all the time. If you use the CMG, the plastic starts to come off and the little pieces start having to be spit out of my mouth. Then if you use the regular Fox 40 the plastic also deteriorates as well and groves in the plastic develops and they can break down as well. Now just like I would not use a plastic fork over and over again without at some point throwing it out and using another, the same goes for a whistle. They cost only about $5 or $6 dollars for the most part, using a couple during the season is not a big deal or investment. And yes I clean them off, but I would like a newer one every now and then. Is that OK with you?
