Which was why they removed this from INT years ago. One of the examples offered as a reason for the change was, R1 on 3B, B2 hits a routine fly ball to left field, but R1 started off the base. Coach grabs and pulls her back to 3rd for the tag up. Ooops, by rule, the ball is dead prior to being caught which means B2 would have to be awarded 1B on a ball that should have been an easy out when caught.
