At my D2 game this weekend, A1 attempts a try. The rebound bounces very wide almost straight to the sideline. B2 makes a very athletic play to jump from inbounds and tap the ball back into play before it goes out of bounds. Unfortunately for him, he tapped almost directly to the basket and into the hands of A2, who simply pivots and lays the ball in.
Team B takes a time-out and as the players come back to the court, B1 says to B2 "What the firetruck are you thinking, saving it right under the basket?" B2 just says "What? I don't get an assist for that?" And then he smiled really big.
I just like this team because they actually seem to enjoy playing together. By the way, B2 is the same kid who told us "I told you" in this thread:
"I told you!"
