2 of my recent favorites, runner on 3rd, F5 is playing about 20' in front of the bag anticipating a suicide squeeze. theres a past ball and while running home, the runner brushes shoulders with F5, i call OBS... the DC's argument was "she (F5) was in fair territory!!"

i wanted to tell him, coach, is the physical 3rd base in fair or foul territory? is home plate in fair or foul territory? so you either dont know that the shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line or you teach your girls to run in foul territory run running from 3rd to home.

runner on 1st, groundball to F4, who throws wildly to F6 for a force attempt. F6 catches the ball off the base, the runner touches and then overruns 2nd. F6 then touches second base, then the runner returns to 2nd base. runner is safe, the coach argues "but she was off the base, a runner cannot be off a base!"
