Post Season Assignments
Question for you guys. How are post season assignments made? For example, do they try to keep crews together? Since it is expanded to 6, where do the extra 2 come from for the outfield and how is the subsequent rotation - once they rotate in it would seem to negate any benefit from " working as a crew". Is there any "merit" involved? For example, if they wanted to specifically exclude West or Hernandez or Bucknor but there was an umpire with a great review on the crew, is he just out of luck or is that how they get U5 and U6?
