I think where you buy the stuff is really not all that important. If you buy it from a place that gives great customer service, that is wonderful. But I personally like to buy quality stuff rather than worry about where I got it from.

Shoes--You can get from anywhere and it comes down to personal preference anyway.

Pants--I personally think Sansabelt Pants are the best quality by far. You can get them from just about anyplace that sells officiating gear.

Shirts--It is about personal preference here too. Mesh, Micro Mesh, Polyester/Cotton blends. All comes down to what you feel most confrontable in. I personally like the Polyester/Cotton blends, because they hold their shape in the bags and with and undershirt you do not have to wash them every single time you wear them.

Socks--You can obviously get these anywhere. But the Gerry Davis socks are the best in my opinion. But they are expensive for some tastes. Just go down to the local Wal-Mart and by some all black athletic type socks. They might fade a bit over time, but they serve the purpose.


Whistles/Lanyard--Again I think the only whistle anyone can use is the Fox 40. Anything else is second class and does not sound crisp and clear. Now the Smittys or Lanyards are strictly person preference. Nothing more, nothing less. I like the NBA Noose, they do not break and adjust to your neck and fell the best.
