Second ... how can you make this statement and not say Nowitski? I suspect your assertion is true in some locales ... completely not true here though. I see Nowitski jersey's all the time ... and even Nash Mav jerseys. I guarantee I see more Nowitski, Duncan, Ginobili, Yao, and even McGrady jerseys worn by "the kids" than LJ or Wade (all of the above dwarfed by Kobe, of course).
As stated earlier, I'm sure TPTB didn't want Dallas to get a title. I'm just as sure that they never made any such comment to any referee anywhere. I think Cuban's behavioral change was more along the lines of him growing up than anything else.
