Outside of going to camps? Nothing. That's what you have to do in many parts of the country.
But, honestly, you're asking the wrong people. Find a men's official and a women's official from the conferences you want to work who you respect, and ask
them. They will know the assignors in your area and what you will have to do to make those staffs. We can give you general pointers, but they will be able to tell you where to be, what forms to fill out, and when. (And perhaps most importantly, who to send the check to
