I must be going through game withdrawals, because I actually had a dream last night that I was working a game.

I was the L of a two-man crew, working a boys' game of undeterminable age. My partner calls a shooting foul on A-1, then whacks the kid for mouthing off. I then whack A-2 for yelling at my partner.

I go to the table to report the foul (don't ask me the number or color), then tell the coach to choose a shooter for his six free throws. The coach looks at me straight faced and asks, "why don't I get seven?"

(Of course, I should have just told him to choose for the four technical free throws. I'll keep that in mind for my next REM cycle.)
