Some advice as someone who went through this a couple of summers ago in regards to being a new varsity official. I would just keep doing what you have been doing and take the advice of went everyone else has said in regards to reading the book and studying film.

The piece of advice I can give you is that if your assignor for summer basketball and AAU basketball is the same as your high school season, I would work as many games as possible. Try to keep your closed dates updated and also be honest with your assignor if you are being over worked. At times over the summer some officials will try to work every night of the week, and that is not good. It sends a message that you want to work a lot of games but you are overworking yourself.

I hope this advice helps you.

Peace,
JB
