Once after having worked 8 SP games, I was prevailed upon to do "just one more" because an ump had taken ill. It was a lower-level loser's bracket game, but both teams had won twice earlier in the day.
The first 48 pitches were balls nowhere near the zone. I could have called them from left field. After a hit and some more walks, the inning ended with the visitors up 16. Later that evening (much later), the home team pulled the game out in the bottom of the seventh.
In another tourney, as his team took the field, the pitcher approached me and asked, "How do you pitch?"
I had another game in which the visiting team hit the first 17 pitches for hits. They swung at everything, including pitches I had already called illegal.
