Amid some of the horror stories ... I feel the need to share the tale of a great 9th grade game last night.
6.5 innings in 1:20. Home team wins 4-2. Both pitchers throw quality strikes. Only four walks total. One team turns a sweet 6-4-3 DP. The other team's right fielder makes a diving backhand catch of a ball in the gap, gets up and doubles R1 off first. Coaches behave and catchers are fun to work with. Partner makes some great calls and is always where I expect him to be. Is this a great game, or what?
