honesty, integrity
home team - always wins (just kidding)
O: obvious- call the obvious, don't miss the obvious!
one and one- communicate at 6, help get shooter
official NFHS mechanics, no NCAA
outside play- handchecking, 5 sec. counts, screens, 3 pt. tries
R: respect the coaches/players, be professional and patient but penalize if
they disrespect us in a way that cannot be ignored.
review-anything unusual that occurs, get together-make sure we get
everything correct (technical fouls, correctable errors, etc.)
rim-if applicable, be alert for GT, BI
S: support each other-work as a team, communicate
seconds- accurate counts, 5 sec. counts 6' not 3', last second shots
subs- let all report, count players
similar plays call similar ways
E: enthusiasm for the game, energetic
errors-wrong OB call, changing a 2 to 3, or 3 to 2, timeframe for CE's.
enjoy the opportunity
Having said all that, go out there and HORSE around!
