It's been a long time since I've worked a small court like that. When there is play or a drive in close to the hoop, I found it best to keep wide rather than close down. Taking a couple steps onto the court will give you an angle to see through the play. It also gives you a better panoramic view on rebound activity rather than standing on the endline near the bucket, and possibly getting your own "clock cleaned".

Thanks guys. In the second half I did start staying wider, but I never came onto the court. I have a game back at that gym next week. I will give this tips a try.
